SFOS: Reading flash mob invades elementary cafeteria

On March 13, unsuspecting students who were enjoying their lunch in the Scotchtown Avenue cafeteria were suddenly invaded by a flash mob! Scotchtown Avenue is a K-2 building located in the Goshen Central School District located in Orange County.

In honor of the school’s Parents as Reading Partners (PARP) celebration, students in Joanne Karchawer’s second grade class put together a flash mob performance, singing and dancing to “Gotta Keep Reading,” based on the song “I Gotta Feelin’” by the Black-Eyed Peas.

The students interrupted the otherwise quiet lunch period with their secret flash mob performance, which was met by cheers and applause from their classmates.
