Another busy week in education news, both in New York and nationally.

A CNBC study ranks New York’s education system as first in the nation for providing what businesses need. Click here to read their report.

Education Week released its Quality Counts report on Thursday.  The new edition of this annual report on state-level efforts to improve public education looks at U.S. schools’ international standing and lessons to be drawn from high-performing countries. New York placed third out of the 50 states in the “State of the States” part of the report.
